Will metal spikes or cleats damage the sensors?
No. The Mound is encased in a thick, industrial-grade vulcanized rubber compound engineered specifically to withstand metal baseball and softball cleat strikes without puncturing or degrading sensor calibration.
Does it work on outdoor clay mounds as well as turf?
Yes. The plate is designed with an anti-slip grip backing that grips clay surfaces, outdoor dirt mounds, portable wooden pitching platforms, and indoor turf lanes equally well.
How does video synchronization work?
The Mound Power mobile app receives real-time force packets over BLE while the phone's native camera captures the pitch. The app uses timestamp alignment so every millisecond along the force curve matches the exact frame of the video.
Can I use one plate for both baseball and softball?
Yes. In the companion app, simply toggle between "Baseball Mode" (which optimizes for sloped drive force down the mound) and "Softball Mode" (which tracks flat push-off and stride-foot drag dynamics).
